          One of a limited-edition presentation of just four, this two kilo Completer coin marks a spectacular end to The Royal Mint’s phenomenal Queen’s Beasts series. Minted in glorious gold proof, this weighty 2010.00 gram gold coin has a diameter of 150.00 mm, providing an extraordinary canvas for Jody Clark’s rendition of all ten of the heraldic creatures, previously featured on the earlier releases in the series. The popular collection kicked off in 2016 and celebrates the real and mythological animals that populate the coats of arms of Her Majesty the Queen’s Royal and noble ancestors. The obverse shows the fifth official effigy of Elizabeth II. This coin has a face value of Two Thousand Pounds and is presented encapsulated with a numbered certificate of authenticity in original bespoke packaging from The Royal Mint.

          The Queen's Beasts Collection

          New additions in the Royal Mint's Queen's Beasts collection have been flying off the shelves since the first design was revealed in 2016. Coins in the series combine lifelike animals with graphic heraldic elements.

          The Beasts were inspired by ten statues that stood guard during the Queen's 1953 coronation. Featuring the real and mythological beasts that appear on the coats of arms of British royal houses, the Queen's Beasts symbolise Her Majesty's noble lineage.

          Each coin has been offered in a range of metals and denominations, from BU Five Pound coins to a remarkable Ten Kilo gold proof piece. We’ve been pleased to carry a wide range of the individual Beasts and several variants of the Completer coin, including 2kg edition, the second largest piece offered.

          The 2021 Completer Coin

          This final coin in the Queen’s Beasts series incorporates the ten heraldic beasts that featured on the previous releases, encircling a small portrait of Her Majesty the Queen. The reverse legend reads 'THE QUEEN’S BEASTS – 2021'.

          As with all coins in the collection, the Completer is the work of Royal Mint designer Jody Clark. His creations are influenced by the original sculptures, studying real animals and a childhood interests in fantastic beasts.

          Unusually, Clark's designs feature on both sides of this piece as he is also the artist responsible for the fifth definitive coinage portrait of Elizabeth II. The obverse inscription flags the face value of this striking coin. It reads 'ELIZABETH II · D · G · REG · F · D · 2000 POUNDS ·'

          Only four of these large gold Completer coins have been offered by The Royal Mint and this is one of them.

          You'll receive your 2kg Queen's Beasts coin in its original bespoke box from The Royal Mint. The coin itself is contained within a clear plastic frame to protect its flawless proof finish. Also included: a detailed information booklet and a numbered certificate of authenticity.
